We manufacture ground shafts up to 2,240 mm long. Depending on the component geometry and requirements, we will be happy to assess individual feasibility.
We machine a wide range of materials, including stainless steels, duplex and super duplex, other steels, grey cast iron, aluminium alloys and non-ferrous metals. Challenging materials can also be machined following an individual assessment.
Yes. Our capabilities range from individual and sample parts through prototypes and small batches to series production. We can respond flexibly to individual requirements and quantities.
Yes. We prepare inspection reports as required to document specified dimensions and quality requirements. We can also supply 3.1 inspection certificates and certificates for the transfer of material identification markings on request.
Yes. We machine common duplex stainless steels such as 1.4462 and super duplex grades such as 1.4410 and 1.4501. We will be happy to advise you on manufacturing options for challenging materials.
Lead times depend on the order, the machining required and raw material availability. We can respond particularly quickly when the required raw material is already in stock. If material must be sourced first, we factor procurement time into scheduling. For long-standing customers, a 24-hour service is available for agreed components at an additional charge.
Yes. Our Doosan Puma SMX3100ST combines turning and milling in one continuous process. B and C axes, main and sub-spindles and up to 80 tools enable us to machine complex geometries with as few setups as possible. This reduces transfers and sources of error, improves repeatability and can significantly shorten lead times. We manufacture both demanding one-off parts and series components. Our seven Biglia turn-mill centres are also equipped with a swivelling tool spindle with a CNC-controlled B-axis.
We coordinate hard chrome plating, Tenifer QPQ, Metcoloy 2 and ceramic coatings, among other treatments. Hard chrome and Metcoloy 2 are suitable for hard functional surfaces and controlled dimensional build-up. On suitable materials, Tenifer QPQ improves wear and corrosion resistance and sliding properties. Ceramic coating systems can provide high wear resistance and can be sealed if required. Emergency running properties depend on the coating, mating surface and operating conditions and are assessed individually for each application.
